T1ER Central Showcase set to face-off in Pittsburgh
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced the schedule for the Central Division T1ER Showcase, set to take place February 2nd through 4th at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
This is the 7th and final event of the 2023-24 season for the T1ER league, which will conclude just around the corner at the Dixon Cup Championship on February 16-19 in Detroit, Michigan. This weekend provides a unique opportunity for teams at both the 16U and 18U levels, as it’s taking place in conjunction with the 2024 NAHL and T1ER Top Prospects Tournaments.
“The Central Division of our T1ER league has built up some great rivalries over the past few years, with many previous Dixon Cup Champs coming from this division. Adding in guest opponents such as Pittsburgh Pens Elite, Cleveland Barons, Windy City Storm, Seacoast Performance Academy, Twin City Ice Mavericks, and New Hampshire Mountain Kings will raise the level of play even higher. When you combine this weekend with our NAHL and T1ER Top Prospects Tournament on Monday & Tuesday, our NAHL, NCAA, and NHL Scouts will have plenty of exciting hockey to keep their eyes on,” said Dennis Vickers, Director of Player Personnel and Director of the NAPHL.
Scouts from all NAHL teams and many NCAA scouts will be in attendance, looking for the next crop of talent to load their rosters with. To date, 39 players in the T1ER League have signed tender agreements with North American Hockey League Teams.

In addition to the T1ER Central Showcase, the 18U and 16U Top Prospects teams will faceoff on the 5th and 6th and are collections of the best players from the NAPHL T1ER League Teams.

The T1ER Top Prospects Tournament is played in conjunction with the North American Hockey League's (NAHL) Top Prospects Tournament. The event has quickly become one of the most highly scouted events of its kind, with hundreds of junior, NCAA and NHL expected in attendance this season.
