Madison Capitols 18U forward Barth signs NAHL tender

The Madison Capitols of the NAPHL’s T1ER League are proud to announce that 18U forward Jacob Barth has signed an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season with the Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Barth, 18, is a long-time veteran with the Madison Capitols and in the NAPHL. The Marshfield, Wisconsin native joined the program in the 2020-21 season where he played for the 15U squad. The following year, he made the quick jump to appear in games for both the 16U and 18U teams and was a key impact for the latter in the 2022 Dixon Cup Playoffs. Barth has since stuck with the 18U team where he has played 40 games and recorded 31 points.
“Jacob is a good get for us. Several NAHL teams were in pursuit of him. We’re pleased that he’s chosen to pursue his Junior hockey career with the Windigo,” said Blake Hietala, head coach of the Wisconsin Windigo. Barth made his NAHL debut this season with the Windigo, suiting up on December 16th against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
This season, Barth played in 11 games for the Capitols where he netted 6 goals and dished 4 assists. He was recently selected to participate in the 2024 T1ER Top Prospects Tournament, representing Team Blue. He becomes the first from Madison’s program to sign an NAHL tender agreement for the 2024-25 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
